Reasons Why PS4 is Better than the Xbox One

It’s always a competition in the gaming industry especially for titans such as the PlayStation and Xbox. Both of these consoles have always been competing in terms of performance, graphics, specs and even the exclusive games.

Whenever updated versions of these consoles are released, gamers and fans are always competing to see which one performs best. For some, they’re both just gaming consoles but for gamers, that’s not always the case since they are always looking for an experience that will take them to the next level.

In this article, we will be talking everything you need to know about the PlayStation 4. This has been around for a while and it’s starting to get a lot of feedbacks from users that it is a much better one compared to its big competitor, the Xbox One.

Let’s take a look at some of the facts as to why a lot of gamers are into the PlayStation 4:

Power
It’s evident that the PlayStation 4 has an advantage in terms of power than the Xbox One which also means that it is better in performance for 3rd party games. Sure the Xbox One may have had a little boost after freeing up its processing power but the PS4 always has a better record in terms of providing superior frame rate and resolution. This could mean better games especially on the race of first person shooters.

Games
The PS4 exclusives so far have experienced a bit of a train wreck with release of the games such as Driveclub and Knack. But that doesn’t mean that Sony won’t keep us disappointed since some big exclusive releases will be in the hands of PS4 soon. These exclusive games include The Order: 1886, LittleBig Planet 3, Bloodborne and Batman: Arkham Knight. Lastly, let’s not forget about the games that Naughty Dog has in store for the PS4 such as Uncharted 4 and the much awaited sequel for The Last Us, if there really is one.

Ecosystem
As a company, Sony is on a bit of a struggle but Kaz Hirai is very clear about making the PlayStation the main pillar of his new strategy. This means that PS4 owners will get full access to the features of Sony’s other key titles such as the PS Vita, PS TV, Morpheus and many more. The company is looking forward to building a multi-device ecosystem that is revolving around the PS4. With that alone, you can easily say that it’s probably the right time to pick up that PS4 now.

Momentum
In the console war, the PS4 is taking an impressive lead so far. Even though not much of the 3rd party titles have surfaced yet, a lot of developers are now seemingly putting their time, focus and effort into a system that has a higher install base. This means that not only will we get better versions of these games; we’ll also get better exclusive games from different kinds of developers. Also, since PS4 is out in the wild, there’s a chance that one of your friends owns one as well. With that in mind, you will surely have a great time playing co-op and multiplayer games.

Now all of that has been said, it’s pretty clear why purchasing the PS4 would seem like a smart choice. Just take note that the era for this next gen console has just started so there’s no reason why you should back out anytime soon.

How to De-Stress?

Work and school can often become too much for us to handle, we get stressed almost every day, it piles up and it burns us out and it starts to affect our health. When you live with stress for a long time, it’s like you are slowly but surely killing yourself because it could cause serious illnesses to us.

Without us knowing it, we are causing harm to our body because we don't know when we have to take time to relax and to take some time off from the pressure and the energy-draining work that we have to do.

Here are some of the ways you can relieve yourself from all the stress work or school or life is causing you.

Admit it, we often get obsessed with our work that wherever we may be, we think about it. While walking in a mall, while having a dinner out and sometimes even when we are sleeping. We have to learn to turn ourselves off from the office or our work because it can cause us to feel stressed.

Even when you are at home or at a vacation, you may feel that sense of obligation that you have to answer calls and emails right away, that should not be the case. We should also know how to distance ourselves from our work. You can allot some time at the evening for all of the emails and the phone calls you have to return and make, thirty minutes will already be enough, when the time is already up, turn off your mobile or laptop and have some time for yourself. Just don’t do it right before you go to bed.

This works the same way that a ritual before bedtime puts you in the right mood and state of mind to sleep, a chill out routine will get you to the mood for relaxing. It can just be the simple things that you do as soon as you get home from work, like changing from your work clothes to a comfortable clothing because it can instantly change your mindset. Then do something to change your pace like a dip in the swimming pool or a nice, a warm bath with scented candles or maybe just by listening to relaxing music while you are having a tea or wine.

Sometimes, we go and plan all of the stuff we are going to do when our free day comes, we try to cram everything we want to do in that two days we have off from work that we sometimes cram when it is already time to go back to reality. You can do all these exciting and fun activities that you want but you should always find time to just sit down and give your body time recharge or even just an hour in one day. Sit down, watch a movie or a tv show or flip through a magazine, chill activities are good too.

Home Is Where The Heart Is: Some home safety tips for you

That’s right. Home is where the heart is. It is also where the food is, where the valuables are and where your favorite reading books are.

Here are some home safety tips for you and your family.

Yes, an ounce of prevention is definitely worth more than a ton of cure. But if ever you’re faced with a food crisis, such as food poisoning, you’ll need to know some safety tips you can do right at your own home. Of course, one of the first steps you might want to do is call for help, too. So make sure you have an updated list of those emergency phone numbers in a conspicuous place at home, such as your fridge, your white board, and other places.

Remember the 4 principles of basic food safety: clean, separate, chill and cook.

Always wash your hands first before touching any food. And for foods that need washing, always make sure you thoroughly rinse them.

Always try to separate foods that are on the go with foods that are yet to be prepared. Always try to be aware of contamination, particularly when your foods are exposed out of their containers or out of the fridge. Also, try using separate cutting boards just to be on the safe side.

Fridge is always the best way to chill food. The second option, of course, would be to use an ice box.

Always cook the food with the orientation that you must not burn away its nutrients.

Put windows with safety locks and with treated colors. This is very useful particularly if you have a low-fenced bungalow type residence.

Put on lights with automatic settings. This will definitely scare off burglars and thieves because studies show that proper lighting does have a preventive effect for such criminal acts and offenders.

Install real and not-so-real alarm systems. A nice working alarm system would be nice, but putting up a “Beware of Dogs” sign may also be as effective (especially since you placed the noun in plural form!).

Organize, organize, organize. Of course, one of the easiest home safety tips is to organize not only your things, but also your time. This means that you’ve taken care of your home as conveniently as possible.

Remember – home is where your heart is.

How to Manage Stress

Sometimes, no matter what we do, stress will have a way to get to us. Stress really is a part of our lives. Even the littlest things can stress us out sometimes. It is also good to feel a bit burn out sometimes; it serves as a reminder that we are doing something with our lives.

What’s not good is when you can’t seem to handle your rising stress levels that it gets out of hand, eventually causing unwanted effects. You have to take action when you feel like you can’t handle the level of weariness in your body and it starts to show physically that it puts your health at risk.

What you need to do is first…

This is the first step of stress management. You may think that work and school are causing your stress but sometimes your own thoughts and feelings can be the cause too. The sources of your stress are not always the ones that are obvious. Keeping a stress journal can help you with this step. Every time you feel burnt out, write down what the cause was and how you felt and what actions you took to make yourself feel all better. Through this, you can see a pattern on what stresses you out so next time; it will be easier for you to point out what’s exhausting you.

The stress journal may also be helpful here. Think about what things you do for you to cope with the stress you are going through at the moment. Are you coping in a healthy or an unhealthy way?

Avoid Stress as Much as You Can

You will find that you can actually avoid some unnecessary stress when you know how to dodge them. Well you can’t avoid all the stressors that you meet along the way but there are certainly some that you can. You just have to learn to say no to some things, know your limitation. Also avoid those people and situation that stresses you out, it is not worth it. If crowded places make you feel uncomfortable, try your best to avoid them. If anything or anyone makes you feel anxious, allow yourself to lessen your contact with them or better yet, avoid them for good.

If ever you can’t do anything to avoid a certain situation or person that makes you feel uncomfortable, then try altering it. You can try expressing what you feel instead of keeping it all to yourself. This can give you a way to release the things that have been bothering you. You should also be ready and willing to compromise with other people who are involved in the situation.
If you already gave it a shot but you just can’t seem to fight the stressor in your life, it’s time to change yourself instead. This way you can be more flexible and adapt to situations that stress you out, then you can have your sense of control back by altering your attitude and expectations to the situation. Learn to accept the fact that sometimes, there are some things you can’t change no matter how hard you try.

Have You Been Diagnosed With Diabetes? Check Out These Tips!

When living with diabetes, it may seem scary at times and that you cannot do anything about them. However, this article will give you some ideas on how to deal with diabetes. Apply these tips and you will see results quickly.

Every type of food has a number that states its effects on blood sugar. This number is called the "glycemic index". The lower a food's GI number is, the safer it is for a diabetic to consume.

Get a few almonds to satisfy your cravings without upsetting your blood sugar levels. If you choose the unsalted variety, you will get fiber and protein in a yummy package. Keep them handy next to the couch so you're able to snack on a few while you watch television.

It's not something that you should feel ashamed about, especially since it's increasingly common. Acknowledging this can eliminate any shame or stress that came with your diagnosis, and make living with the condition much easier.

If you are hypoglycemic, you should always have gum or some other type of sugary food handy. A hypoglycemic attack can happen at any time, so it is important that you are always prepared. This is particularly true when you have avoided breakfast; your body craves sugar after having no food all night.

Many online pharmacies offer steep discounts on popular diabetes medications. Some websites let you set up an account and subscribe a monthly delivery system, so you always the supplies you need.

Learn to identify foods that have high glycemic indices and that can cause your blood sugar to spike. For instance, bread, cereal, pasta or juices have a very high glycemic index. The more processed the food, the worse it is for your blood sugar level. So look into eating vegetables, fresh fruit, meat and fish instead.

There are many methods to lose excess weight and fight diabetes that do not cost anything, like jogging or exercising in the park. Try a few chin ups using the park's jungle gym, or use the canned goods in your kitchen as weights and do some lifts, then weight some sturdy fabric bags and use them for weight lifting.

Diabetics need to be especially careful of the foods they eat. Different foods will affect your blood glucose levels in different ways, so you will want to carefully monitor your food choices. Large meals may call for large insulin doses, and a snack requires less. If you watch your meals, you can actively manage your glucose levels.

You are not at fault if you acquire gestational diabetes. Pregnancy often causes gestational diabetes, and there is really not much you can do to prevent it if you are susceptible to it. If you want to keep stress out of your life, you need to keep your stress down and stay thinking positive and happy.

This means that your little one has a greater chance of developing diabetes at some point in his or her life. Do not impart this terrible disease onto your child, do what you can to take care of this problem now.

Always keep in mind the reasons why you have to take care of yourself and your diabetes. What are your hobbies? What would you undertake if you could? What's holding you back? How can you get around those barriers? It's important to pay attention to your priorities and let them drive your planning.

Although this article doesn't cover nearly all of the information that is available on diabetes, the tips and hints you were given are going to be very helpful in getting you started on managing your disease. In fact, you most likely already thought of some valuable ways to start using this advice. Try them today, and see for yourself just how much better you can be living.

Use Your Iphone The The Way It Was Meant To Be Used

There are new applications being released every day for your iPhone. There are probably dozens that could help simplify your life, if you knew how to use them. This article will give you many tips and techniques on how you can use the apps in your daily life.

To dry an iPhone that's wet, use rice. It is fairly common to drop an iPhone and get it wet. Use a paper towel to wipe the phone, then place it in a rice packed bag. Use this as an alternative to a hair dryer. When you wake up in the morning, it ought to be dried out.

On Safari, you can save images from Safari or Mail very easily if you know how to do it. Find the image you want, touch and hold. A screen should pop up and ask you to either save the image, or cancel.

If you are writing anything on the iPhone and do not want to use the predictive text feature, the suggestion box can be dismissed without touching the "X." Instead, tap your screen anywhere, and instantly, the box will vanish.

Choose a distinct ringtone. This will keep your phone from sounding just like everyone else's, especially if they use the ringtones that come with the phone. You could use your favorite song or another sound you find enjoyable. People's heads will turn when your phone rings.

You probably know that you can use your iPhone to create time-based reminders, like "Remind me to go to the post office at 3 P.M." In addition to these reminders you also have the ability to set up location-based reminders. You might ask your iPhone to remind you to swing by the post office after you pick up the kids. The iPhone can help you remember all sorts of events.

You can capture a photo with one hand when using your device. All you have to do is get the image into focus as you would like and then tap the button to increase the volume. There's no difference in the picture's quality than if you had taken it normally.

While the iPhone tries to make web browsing simple and painless, it can be a chore to try to navigate to the beginning of a page, especially if it is long. There's no need to! Tapping on the status bar at the top of your screen (i.e. the clock) will return you instantly to the start of the page. This works for all long screens, especially one like iTunes.

Has the screen on your iPhone ever frozen? Use the Sleep/Wake button as the first remedy. If this doesn't work, then try pressing the sleep and home button at the same time. That will reset your phone, but then it will power up again in just moments.

Word shortcuts can be set on your iPhone. In your setting menu, navigate to General/Keyboard/Add New Shortcut. This can help you add shortcuts to phrases and words you commonly use by inputting acronyms or abbreviations. When you type in the shortcuts, your iPhone will insert the words or phrases for you.

You do not have to put up with the preset voice on your device. First, locate Siri under the General Settings screen. Under your Siri settings, you have the option of changing the language that Siri speaks to English, French, or German. You can also change Siri's English dialect to reflect either British or Australian usage. In fact, the British version of Siri has a male voice.

Using an iPhone can be an engrossing, or even transformative experience. You probably already know this even if you haven't used one yourself. The solid tips in the article above show you how you can use the technology more quickly and effectively every day.
